PaletteDock was clear, but it also described the first version too literally. Sequence creates a broader product idea: a place where colors are ordered, related and ready to be reused.
Literal names help early—and can limit later
A working name can explain the initial utility quickly. The risk is allowing that temporary clarity to become the permanent ceiling of the product.
The selection criteria
The new name needed to remain simple, fit the wider app family and support expansion beyond a palette-only archive.
